Gender Pop is rolling right along with its second episode. Now uploaded for any and all earballs!

Nostalgia is always all the rage, and boy, are we feeling that for the 90s right now. What better to talk about then than a classic family comedy that includes Rick Moranis? This episode we get into Little Giants and it is such a lovely conversation.
I am trying to offer up a variety of tones and genres for this podcast, not only to keep it fresh and interesting, but to cast a wide net around the topic of gender and pop culture. It shows up in so many ways, and on so many levels (even in kid's movies) that it's worth opening the discussions up as much as they can be. So, some episodes may be dark and heavy and some may be light and sweet, and most will often be somewhere in between.
About The Guest:
Corinna Ren is a multidisciplinary artist. Her work is a vast expanse of beauty and goodness so please check out the links below to get hip to her stuff. I think she brings a different angle and approach to things on Gender Pop so it's great to get her on. You all may be transported right back to your younger selves with this one!
She also runs her own Discord server. How cool is that?! https://discord.gg/rdt5ASqM
Extras:
Given the nature of the film there was not a lot of research to be had, but I did find a panel two of the actors did a few years ago if you would like to see it as well:
The song of the episode (granted, it's about a different sport, but it's one my mind went to when talking about this & has a connection to my childhood around sports):
My biggest take away from this episode is that, no matter how hard it is, we always have to be striving to be as true to ourselves as possible. Also, that even the smallest, most random, or silly representations can still make a difference and that the stories we tell should keep fighting for who we get to see on screen.

Thank you for watching & reading! See you for the next round of Gender Pop!
