Not only is it a new month, which means a new episode, but it's the spookiest of months! Naturally, being an autumn and Halloween-lover I knew I wanted to make sure October's episode was a part of that theme.

Episode 4 is all about the 1979 vampire parody film Love at First Bite! This one was such a surprise for me. At first glance this movie can seem dumb or an unnecessary addition to the vampire canon, but boy it made me giggle. I always appreciate things that have more depth and heart than even the premise should allow it to. The exploration of gender between the 3 leads and their messy as hell relationships gave us lots to talk about. You will want to listen if for no other reason than to find out what the heck a "Vilf," is.

About The Guest:

You heard him in the very first episode and now he's back! James Wright joins me once again and as usual he brings the funk (in a good way). He's an indie author, librarian, and is always sharing cool things on social media.

You can find all of that and more at the following link: https://linktr.ee/jameswritessurprisingly. Please consider buying one of his books, or even both. They're worth it!

Extras:

For this episode's song I'm sticking with this season's tried, true, & most basic bitch of a song. What else could it be, let's just add a goofy song on top of an already goofy movie, why don't we?!

Also! Gender Pop is now on Threads. I intend to use this as the one and only social media feed for the podcast so do please follow & feel free to comment with thoughts about the show or even suggestions on things you'd like to see covered. I would love to hear from you all!

That does it for this episode. Back into the shadows I go!

Thank you for listening & reading.
