Another month means another episode of Gender Pop! This one is a real doozy as I discuss Coralie Fargeat's The Substance with my awesome, and not at all monstrous guest, Tara Garwood.

You can listen to it right here on the podcast's website or any platform you prefer. As always, it is much appreciated if you subscribe and share the podcast if you are digging what I'm putting out. Word of mouth is still such a great proliferator and the more love it gets the more I can keep doing this. Alright, enough with the pleas to action, check out some of the extras below and I do hope to see you next time around.

About The Guest:

Tara Garwood is an award-winning filmmaker who specializes in horror and telling women's stories. She has has written and directed a few short films and is currently working on her first feature film which I can tell you is a really exciting, fun and riotous story. Anyone who is a fan of The Substance and its kind should definitely check Tara's work out.

Tara's official website - https://tarakatafilms.com/

And you can find her on social media - @tarakatafilms, tarakatafilms.bsky.social

Goodie Bag:

As usual, I try to do some research leading up to the podcast recordings and I like to share with you all whatever I come across that I found insightful, useful, or just plain interesting!

Episode Song:

Another little tradition I am doing for these blogs is posting a theme song for each episode. It could be one featured or highly important to the piece of media itself or is simply one that reminds me of it. I'm a huge music lover, as well, so it's only natural for my brain to want to attach its own soundtrack to these episodes.

That wraps up another episode and its buddy blog. I sincerely hope you have enjoyed listening to the podcast, thus far, as I have really enjoyed making them. Keep your ears peeled for the next one.

Thanks for joining in!

-- Carly
